Obsidian Strategic are continuing to prepare a planning application for 99,873 square metres of commercial logistics floorspace by Junction 5 of the M3 in Hart.

We are consulting local people on these proposals before submitting a planning application, so that your views can be taken into account by the project team before we finalise the layout and designs.

A public consultation previously took place in August 2022. Following comments from the community, a number of changes have been made to the emerging proposals. You can see the changes here.

The proposals would:

 

• Create up to 2,400 jobs on the site, from entry level to high-skill employment

• Contribute up to £125 million a year to the local economy
  Generate up to £4 million in business rates, helping the district council to fund local priorities

• Provide training and employment opportunities for local residents

• Improve the local business supply chain to support the regional economy

• Deliver a net gain to biodiversity on the site through retaining existing areas of valuable habitat, landscaping, extensive tree planting, and habitat improvement

• Improve cycle and pedestrian routes between Odiham and Hook

• Contribute to local bus services to improve the frequency
